About Me:

Craig Buchanan is an aspiring Character Rigger/Setup Artist/Scripter for the video game industry. He also enjoys video editing, which makes up most of his past professional experience. He has a Bachelor in the Arts from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and more recently earned a Bachelor of Science from Full Sail University.
Craig enjoys digging around in the Unity and Unreal engines to further his knowledge of using Maya in a game pipeline. He is also madly involved with Python scripting in Maya, often creating tools that automate his workflow considerably. If a process seems sluggish in the UI, then "How can I make this easier?" is often answered with a couple hours of experimenting.
Gaming has been an interest for Craig since the days of Pong and SEGA Master System. He still revels in the memories of playing in local Arcades, and believing that those levels of graphics would never be matched by a home console or PC. His favorite games (or series) are Jet Set Radio, NiGHTS, Beyond Good and Evil, Sega Rally, Valkyria Chronicles, and Shenmue.
Craig grew up in Damascus, MD and has worked in Baltimore, Salisbury, and Washington D.C. He always considers Maryland "home," but has had extended stays along the East Coast that make him eager to live in any place that will have him. His favorite place to visit is Japan, where he walked the streets in 2005 in the cities of Yokosuka, Tokyo, and Yokohama.
